Butkus &Associates, Inc. provides high quality, in-home speech therapy services for children 0-21 years of age in Houston, Katy and the surrounding communities. Our trained, experienced teams treat a full range of disabilities including developmental delays of speech and language, articulation disorders such as apraxia, oral motor disorders, feeding and swallowing disorders, and deficits in pragmatic language and social skills associated with various types of Autism, including Pervasive Developmental Disorder (PDD) and Asperger’s Syndrome. We also work within the family dynamic to address the complex problems associated with Down Syndrome, cerebral palsy, cleft lip and palate and other major disorders and syndromes.

Our mission is to provide a comprehensive assessment followed by exceptional, home based rehabilitative speech therapy, maximizing each child’s potential to develop communication skills essential for learning, including verbal, nonverbal and augmentative communication. With our focus on family involvement, training for parents and caregivers is an essential, ongoing part of each child’s treatment plan. Our therapy sessions are individually tailored to the needs of each child, family focused, and fun. Creativity keeps our sessions fresh and enjoyable. Whether working with infants, preschoolers or older children, our therapists are well equipped with age-appropriate materials to keep children motivated so they look forward to our time together.  Research tells us that learning is maximized in a positive emotional environment.
